Il Fatto Quotidiano: A Gaza “43mila palestinesi hanno subito lesioni permanenti a causa dei raid israeliani”: la stima dell’Oms Due anni di bombardamenti a tappeto sulla Striscia di Gaza hanno lasciato gravi lesioni permanenti su 43mila palestinesi. È la stima diffusa dall’Organizzazione mondiale della sanità. Oltre 5mila persone hanno subito amputazioni, più di 2mila hanno avuto lesioni al midollo spinale con la conseguente perdita di importanti funzioni motorie. Più di 3.400 vivono le conseguenze di ustioni gravi e oltre 1.300 hanno riportato lesioni cerebrali traumatiche. Inoltre, un ferito su quattro ha meno di 18 anni. Una fotografia drammatica, se si pensa che il sistema sanitario è stato completamente distrutto e che i medici e le organizzazioni umanitarie lavorano in una costante scarsità di farmaci e materiale medico a causa delle restrizioni imposte dal governo israeliano. Parlando a Madrid insieme al premier spagnolo Pedro Sanchez, il direttore generale dell’Oms, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreysus ha spiegato che il flusso degli aiuti resta ampliamente insufficiente, in quanto “dovrebbero attraversare il confine circa 600 camion” al giorno “ma questo non sta accadendo”, ha rilevato. Secondo il direttore dell’Oms, si osservano progressi “probabilmente nelle evacuazioni mediche” dalla Striscia, mentre persistono gravi difficoltà nella fornitura di medicinali e forniture sanitarie. “L’invio di farmaci non sta arrivando come dovrebbe”, ha rilevato. Ha inoltre segnalato che “quando aumenta il numero di camion ” diretti a Gaza “alcuni trasportano materiali e prodotti destinati alla vendita e i gazawi non possono permetterseli“. Per questo, ha aggiunto, è necessario rafforzare “in modo specifico” l’invio di aiuti umanitari. Il Tempo: Hantavirus, la nave del focolaio è a Tenerife: scatta il trasferimento protetto dei passeggeri La nave da crociera Hondius, in cui si è diffusa un'epidemia di hantavirus, è arrivata verso le 7 di questa mattina al porto di Granadilla, nel sud dell'isola spagnola di Tenerife. Gli oltre 100 passeggeri e una parte dell'equipaggio saranno fatti scendere e trasferiti in strutture sanitarie. Il resto dell'equipaggio invece proseguirà il viaggio per l'Olanda. Il Tempo: Stellantis: amplia partnership con Leapmotor, focus sulla Spagna

Roma, 8 mag. .- (Adnkronos) - Si rafforza la partnership strategica fra Stellantis e Leapmotor: lo comunica il gruppo guidato da Antonio Filosa spiegando che con questo sviluppo annunciato Stellantis “intende spingere sull’accessibilità dei BEV e accelerare il time-to-market per i nuovi modelli, ampliando le iniziative di acquisto congiunto di LPMI” la Joint venture controllata al 51% da Stellantis. L’iniziativa ha per il momento un forte focus sulle attività in Spagna con l’aumento della stabilimento di Saragozza (sito storico di produzione Opel) dove nascerà un nuovissimo SUV elettrico a batteria Opel del segmento C che sarà progettato e concepito a Rüsselsheim ma verrà aggiunto su una nuova linea insieme al modello C-SUV B10 di Leapmotor. Questo sviluppo consentirà al nuovo modello di beneficiare di componenti forniti da LPMI, aumentando l’accessibilità economica: il modello - grazie a un tempo di sviluppo inferiore a due anni, sfruttando la partnership con Leapmotor - dovrebbe essere in vendita già nel 2028.. Coinvolto nel processo anche lo stabilimento Stellantis di Villaverde al quale saranno assegnati futuri prodotti Leapmotor per i mercati europeo e globale. Diversi modelli - si sottolinea - “saranno prodotti in linea con i requisiti Made-in-Europe, con il trasferimento della proprietà dello stabilimento alla controllata spagnola di LPMI”.

Spanish-language Law Librarians Needed

Letter to the PADOC secretary

I’m writing you on behalf of prisoners at SCI Dallas and across the PADOC system. With a growing number of migrant detentions across the country, it is more important than ever that Spanish-language legal services be made available in prisons. At SCI Dallas a bilingual prisoner was denied the ability to be a law librarian. As a result many prisoners have not been able to effectively use the law library, depriving them of their right to do so.

As an organization that provides educational and legal materials to prisoners we ask that you look into this matter. Specifically we are asking that you ensure there is Spanish-language assistance by someone knowledgeable in the law provided in PADOC law libraries. These people are facing deportation hearings and time is of the essence to get them the legal access that they need.
