Już myślałem, że nie mogę liczyć na nowszą wersję #LineageOS na moim #Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite niż 22.2 i zostanę z #Android 15, a tu niespodziewanie pojawiły się pliki z LOS 23.2, więc zaliczyłem upgrade do Andka 16 i na dodatek wszystko wydaje się działać \o/

Oh well... #Santander started charging a monthly account fee on my "free business banking for life" bank account, so I'm switching to another bank. #Revolut looked interesting, offered £100 credit for opening a business account for them. They fell at the first hurdle - in order to open an account with them you need to install an #Android app which refuses to run on a #rooted phone. Time to find a different bank then.

wow... okay... nachdem ich vorgestern und gestern stundenlang mich abgemüht habe, die F-Droid Pipeline zu durchlaufen, also alle automatischen Checks, etc. zu bestehen und die Voraussetzungen für #fdroid zu erfüllen, habe ich endlich das "review-requested" tag bekommen. Naja.... die aktuelle Liste der Apps die im Review sind und immer noch darauf warten, in den F-Droid Store aufgenommen zu werden, ist 3 Monate lang................. are you serious??? #android #androidapp #fedisuite @CafeJunkie@troet.cafe @hagentietze@social.tchncs.de

The new reCAPTCHA requires visitor to own and use Google/Apple approved device, with fully Google/Apple approved operating system build.

sounds like the web is about to get a lot more annoying to use for #grapheneos users and others using #android devices with """compromised integrity""", people without smartphones, people using smartphones with other operating systems, etc.: https://support.google.com/recaptcha/answer/16609652 google's new "mobile reCAPTCHA verification" will require you to scan a QR code from either an iOS device with the reCAPTCHA app or an android device with up-to-date google play services. EDIT: this is part of google's new "fraud defense" system, and is (seemingly) intended to be used for more "important" things like purchases rather than just e.g. comment sections. however, there's nothing stopping site owners from using this thing everywhere

Google will require you to have a smartphone to browse the internet at all in the new iteration of ReCaptcha: https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/identity-security/introducing-google-cloud-fraud-defense-the-next-evolution-of-recaptcha You need to scan a QR code instead of solving captcha, and the phone needs to be connected to the computer by bluetooth. No phone? You don't get to browse the internet today. Android forks and other alt mobile OSes are excluded by design too. #privacy #google #android #security #grapheneoS

I guess it's impossible to remove Google from Android phones. I have disabled Google, but cannot delete it. And it re-enabled itself later. A question for those of you who are savvy: Is there an European SUPL? If not, why not? It seems that even the major mobile operators redirect to Google, which then has access not only to SIM card information, but also exact location of all the mobile devices in the world.
