I guess it's impossible to remove Google from Android phones. I have disabled Google, but cannot delete it. And it re-enabled itself later. The only way out of this, I'm thinking, is an alternative operating system for the phone.

The upcoming release of #PureOS Crimson, the default #Linux operating system for @purism@social.librem.one devices like the #Librem5 Linux phone got many stability improvements.

@Linux@linuxrocks.online @robianhood@mastodon.social I’d say the fully #FreeSoftware / #OpenSource #PureOS from @purism@social.librem.one is also (probably*) commercially viable. Any particular reason you excluded it?
There’s also #FuriOS from @furilabs@fosstodon.org While it’s probably a bit early to determine its success, at least they made enough money to continue development and release a new model without crowdfunding.
