They include reimbursement guidelines for physicians who help patients come off of the medications as well as plans to share data on prescribing trends & an investment in training for #healthcare providers.

…Experts in #pharmaceutical #regulation said the #FDA doesn't have the authority to unilaterally impose a #ban on #medications that have already received #US approval & have long been available without new evidence of a safety problem or finding that the original application seeking approval contained false statements. The FDA can ask a drugmaker to withdraw a #medicine, but the company can refuse.

The Last Rose of Summer is a true story about corruption in #cancer research. I discovered a cheap, plant-derived drug that could replace some much more toxic (but more lucrative) therapies. #BigPharma got involved and suppressed the research. Eventually I had to publish the story in thinly veiled fiction and survive a bunch of murder attempts. "Mary Austin" is a pseudonym, as my publisher forced me to use one. So... hi, I'm "Mary." 🤷♀️

At least 20 students at Ave Maria University in Florida now have confirmed measles infections.
Florida has the fourth most measles cases so far in 2026, with 21 confirmed. South Carolina has by far the most (540, 920 if you count those still sick from 2025), followed by Utah (48) and Arizona (34), with those three states experiencing ongoing outbreaks that began in 2025.
At least 19 people have been hospitalized in S. Carolina during the current outbreak, with an untold number of patients suffering from measles-related encephalitis
