@ppb1701@ppb.social I give it 2-3 days before the Proton Groupies come in here and claim we're all wrong for warning people about Proton. I don't understand why people "simp" for a corporation. It makes no sense to me. But they do. #Proton #ProtonMail #ProtonVPN #ProtonPass #ProtonDrive

@Tutanota@mastodon.social As a frustrated #Proton user, I’m watching this with great interest. If the Tuta calendar can be shared with people outside Tuta, I’ll start making the switch. I’m guessing you’re not working on an online spreadsheet, are you?

I recently stumbled upon a new privacy-focused email provider called https://atomicmail.io You may have heard of them already. The landing page is very convincing, full of aggressive comparisons to Proton Mail, Tuta, GMail and others. But there is zero information about the people behind the product. Just an anonymous "team of enthusiasts and developers". I decided to do a quick audit of their legal entity. It turns out the registered share capital of this company is exactly €1. Well, that completely clears up any doubts about trusting them with my private data. Absolutely bulletproof. #Privacy #InfoSec #EmailSecurity #TechAudit #CyberSecurity #OSINT #Proton #Fediverse #Blog #Thoughts

Well, this is unfortunate. "Proton built Proton Meet to escape the CLOUD Act. They built it on CLOUD Act infrastructure. Their website promises "not even government agencies" can access your calls. The company routing them hands your call records to the [US] government when asked. Proton hid them from their privacy policy." #proton #protonmail #digitalsovereigty #opensource https://www.sambent.com/proton-meet-isnt-what-they-told-you/

RE: https://snabelen.no/@Fred_og_ro/116276810834663400 En virkelig frigjørelse fra #BIGTECH inkluderer også å gå fra iOS og Android, og det gjelder også utviklere av norske apper og ellers. Appene opprettholder monopolsituasjonen. I artikkelen lister NRK to gode alternativer, og mange gode europeiske tjenester! @jolla@techhub.social #SailfishOS #Proton #Tuta

@afilina@phpc.social @brunty@brunty.social Maybe this helps you as well: I’ve migrated from Google Workspace to Proton and I had zero problems 😄 I migrated contacts and calendar before and didn’t use Google Drive. So it was only e-mail I was worried about. After signing up it was only importing mail and changing DNS. Never looked back. #email #proton #DeGoogle
