Zaprojektowałem całkiem udane urządzenie do ostrzenia noży. Nie zajmuje miejsca, nie wymaga długiego rozkładania i pozwala uzyc dowolnego kamienia do ostrzenia.

Zasada działania jest prosta - nóż jest przymocowany na magnesy do płaskiej części i dotyka kamienia, kąt ustawiamy gwintowanym prętem, którego zaokraglona końcówka ślizga się po stole i w ten sposób zapewnia stały kąt.
Najpierw chciałem użyć standardowego gwintowanego pręta albo długiej śruby, ale do sklepu daleko, więc przeprojektowałem tak, że wszytskie części z wyjątkiem są drukowane. Miałem wątpliwości, ale drukowana śruba jest dosyć sztywna, zwłaszcza że w praktyce nie ma tam żadnych obciążeń.

I am prototyping paper airplanes usinge the idea of 3D-printing directly to thin paper and then cutting the parts for assembly.
I also tried using a 3D-pen. Both ways work and the planes fly pretty well. Next up: bigger plane + supercap-motor unit.
The idea is inspired by a recent video of Tom Stanton.

I have held onto this dehydrator with the idea that I would hollow out the trays and then could use it to dry filaments - is this a sound theory or should I just rely on silica and plastic bags?
I have a decent collection of spools, all years old but mostly kept in sealed Ziplocs. But one has just been on the printer which I'm about to fire up again once I have the garage semi-cleaned up.
