Went and worked to build this Antarctica presentation with my friend today before he gives the prez at my next #EAA meeting. Learnt a thing or three...like...
Didja know that the soot from the jet engines on an ice runway attracts unwanted heat from sunlight, and melts/ruts the ice? They had to go out between C-17s and B757s with giant Zamboni-like bulldozers to "clean" the soot off.
Also, wearing survival gear in flight is required south of 60 South.
