In quei giorni ospitai a La vita in diretta un veterinario che mi consigliò di andare a visitare l’allevamento di Rignano Flaminio, comune dove tra l’altro è nata Giovanna. Non avevamo intenzione di adottare un pastore tedesco e la vivemmo come una gita. Invece ci innamorammo a prima vista di Grace e la portammo subito via”.

Näin aamulenkillä tavattoman pienen oravan. Se kisaili isomman oravan kanssa puunrungolla ja niiden kokoero oli niin suuri, että pienempi vaikutti melkein vielä poikaselta. Se oli kooltaan ehkä 2/3 isommasta oravasta ja häntäkin oli lyhyt verrattuna isomman oravan häntään.
