You don’t always need to take a photograph! I first went to Venice in 1972 by train. It was late when we went down the Grand Canal and out to the Youth Hostel. I soon fell asleep on a top bunk with a shutttered window within arm’s reach…. …..When I woke it was dawn. I opened the shutter to a grey mist. Over the next twenty minutes the view of Venice appeared. I didn’t take a photograph but I committed the scene to memory. Back in London I found this: #venice #Italy #memory #turner #art

Agi: Treno Frecciarossa bloccato a Montesilvano, 125 passeggeri bloccati a bordo AGI - I vigili del fuoco sono impegnati dalle 20 in un intervento sulla linea ferroviaria adriatica a Montesilvano, per un treno Frecciarossa bloccato con 125 passeggeri a bordo. Al lavoro i tecnici RFI per il ripristino della linea. I passeggeri, chiusi all'interno del treno, stanno tutti bene. Secondo le prime informazioni, un treno precedente avrebbe tranciato i cavi elettrici.  La nota di Trenitalia La circolazione ferroviaria è sospesa tra Giulianova e Pescara per un inconveniente tecnico alla linea elettrica. Lo rende noto Trenitalia. I treni Alta Velocità, Intercity e Regionali possono registrare ritardi. Sono sospesi i treni Venezia Santa Lucia - Lecce, Milano Centrale - Bari Centrale, Bolzano - Bari Centrale. Frecciarossa train blocked in Montesilvano, 125 passengers trapped on board. Firefighters have been working on a line since 8:00 PM on the Adriatic rail line in Montesilvano to free a stalled Frecciarossa train carrying 125 passengers. RFI technicians are working to restore the line. Passengers, trapped inside the train, are all unharmed. According to initial information, a previous train severed the electrical cables. Note from Trenitalia Train traffic is suspended between Giulianova and Pescara due to a technical issue with the power line. Trenitalia announced this. High-speed, Intercity, and Regional trains may experience delays. Cronaca: Tunnel del Brennero, in arrivo le due nuove frese “Renate” e “Magdalena” Le due gigantesche macchine intitolate alla deputata della Svp Renate Gebhard e all’assessora provinciale Magdalena Amhof. A breve partiranno smontate dalla Cina verso Venezia, poi il trasporto a Varna e il montaggio previsto in autunno. Scavi per 12 chilometri per ciascuna canna della galleria Brennero Tunnel, two new ramps “Renate” and “Magdalena” are arriving. The two gigantic machines named after the SVP parliamentarian Renate Gebhard and provincial councillor Magdalena Amhof. They will soon depart disassembled from China towards Venice, followed by transport to Varna and assembly planned for autumn.
