i try to emphasize good news and if i can't do that i try to emphasize anger over sadness but there's nothing i can do about this bit of news except be depressed: "Mass drowning of chicks puts emperor #penguins at risk of #extinction" https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2026/apr/09/mass-drowning-of-chicks-puts-emperor-penguins-at-risk-of-extinction essentially, #globalWarming, the #climateCrisis, is breaking up the ice the #emperorPenguin depends upon to raise its young, and this is resulting in mass killings of their young now 😔 #penguin #science #climateChange #ecology
