Four of the Palestine Action defendants - Charlotte Head, Samuel Corner, Leona Kamio & Fatema Rajwani - have been convicted of causing criminal damage to the Bristol facility of Israeli firm Elbit:
Jordan Devlin & Zoe Rogers were acquitted.

At the end of the #Filton6 trial, the judge, Mr Justice Johnson, ruled that the defendants could not argue they had a “lawful excuse” because of the actions of the Israeli military in #Gaza
He also forbade them from inviting the jury to apply the principle of jury equity – the right of a jury to acquit on the basis of conscience regardless of the judge’s directions – or, worse, to inform the jury of it. See my posts about Trudi Warner from #DefendourJuries
And this explains why the defendants decided to dismiss their representatives, choosing to speak directly to the jury instead.
However, during his closing speech, one of the barristers DID mention a 1670 act, Bushell's Case, that “established the right of juries to give their verdict according to their convictions"
That barrister is now up for contempt of court.
This morning, I received a reply from an MP who suggested I should be careful as I, too, could be charged with the same.

The #Filton6 took an unusual move yesterday and dismissed their legal representatives. This afforded them an opportunity to speak directly to the jury.
What they say to them is seriously profound as it is troubling, detaling the inconsistent nature of the prosecution as well as the complicity of the British State.

Apparently the jury at the #Filton6 re-trial have been asking 'awkward questions' about evidence they have been presented with such as the number of security guards present; who was operating tbe CCTV footage; why are there apparent gaps in the recordings they have been shown; and why had the court refused to include a certain security manager from giving evidence

A retrial of Palestine Action activists (acquitted of burglery charges in Feb) is on bogus "terrorism” charges.
