Last night's 'it's 1am and I can't sleep' watch was 'Send Help', which I overall enjoyed, even if it didn't go as hard and over-the-top as I had hoped. But regardless, it's good seeing Sam Raimi back to his horror element after 17 whole years. 🔗 https://www.fringemagnet.net/2026/05/recent-watch-send-help-2026.html #SendHelp #Movies #Cinemastodon #FIlmMastodon #horror #Review #CatsOfMastodon #cats #Cat #floof

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Release date: 1974-10-11 Five friends head out to rural Texas to visit the grave of a grandfather. On the way, they stumble across what appears to be a deserted house, only to discover something sinister within. Something armed with a chainsaw. https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/30497 #film #films #movie #movies #poster #posters #history #design #typography #horror #horrormovies

#kdrama #kcinema #movies #kanopy Not sure if anyone else uses the KANOPY library system to watch movies, documentaries or tv shows but 3 awesome movies just "dropped". 2025s The Old Woman With The Knife. An action thriller with the older assassin played by Lee Hye Young who played Gu Jun Pyo's mum in BOF. 2024s Harbin starring Hyun Bin and more. Freedom fighters in 1907. 2002s Infernal Affairs. Classic Hong Kong crime thriller with Andy Lau and Tony Leung.

@alexadeswift@lgbtqia.space -- If you're not familiar with the 1980's movie, "They Live!" you're really missing out. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096256/ I know you'll question the producer and distribution credits, but it was the only way a movie like this could be made. Very counter-culture, especially with Reagan. "I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass...and I'm all out of bubblegum." -- John Nada #TheyLive #movies #lifeimitatesart

I spent a good deal of the day sobbing yesterday. I'm involved in a lawsuit and I had to fill out a really detailed questionnaire which meant I had to look up all these small details and I ended up spending like 6 hours knee deep in horrible memories. I kept getting frustrated and sobbing and my neck hurt and my head was pounding. It was a really bad day. I'm trying to recuperate today. I need happy #funny #movies. What are your favorite happy movies when you need to stop crying and feel some comfort? #cinema #cinephile

What horror films went under the radar and don’t get spoken about enough? Any cult favorites or straight to home market releases that you wish more people would stumble onto? I’ll start the ball rolling with Inbred (2011) - gloriously over the top British comedy horror. #film #films #movies #Cinema #QuestionOfTheWeek #filmfilepod

Whoops, took a nap and now there's only 20 minutes until #MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party! If you want to avoid it, best set up a hashtag filter. If you want to join in, this week we're watching Stephen King's SILVER BULLET (1985), with blackjack and werewolves! Tubi crapped the bed for this one, but there's a Pluto link over here where you can stream the film: https://pluto.tv/us/on-demand/movies/5955aba5491f7ff12f598ce0 Or there's an Archive.org download: https://archive.org/details/silver-bullet-1985_202511 Just hit play at the top of the hour and toot along! See you there! #Movies #cinema #cinemastodon #horror #scifi

I love horror movies. But there are so many horror movies I have never seen because they just don't come to Finland and I can't stand watching them from a small screen (I was born in the 90's, it is TV, or movie theatre, or nothing experience for me) so paying for VPN to get Shudder is out. We also can't link a laptop to TV since both of those are old and laggy. Man I wish country locked media didn't exist... There is so much stuff out there just, existing! #horror #movies #fomo

So I've only recently gotten into movies, and would love any suggestions you feel are 'must watches'. Literally any, I've been comically uninformed until the beginning of the year. Boosts are greatly appreciated, also pinning to act as a sort of crab pot to passively get any suggestions. #movies #cinema
