We are all products of the society that raised us, and internalize (in differing ways) not just discrete thoughts, but *patterns* of thinking.
For anyone reading this thread and getting defensive, I'm not saying you're to *blame* for having those embedded thoughts. But once you're aware of them, you are *responsible* for dealing with them appropriately.
