TL/DR I post about our pet chickens & turkeys, the NWSL, and whatever game I happen to be playing. I grew up all over, spending time in Indonesia, Egypt, Ukraine, and Germany, before settling in the US , where I've spent time living in Florida and California before moving to Iowa. Our family lives in a farmhouse with a large number of pets, including cats, dog, chickens, turkeys, and a tortoise. Big fan of women's soccer, especially the NWSL. I love playing pickleball.

Apparently cowbirds are often monogamous, even though they don't have any real reason for it, since they don't make nests.
She sometimes joins him in the bush so they can yell at the window together.

If spotting birds is something you enjoy, there are specific places you always remember, because that’s where you saw your very first [insert bird].
Some of my “lifers” were in simple places like a cemetery or a beach. Some were more exotic places like cenotes or rainforests.
But then there’s the story of my first Indigo Bunting sighting.
