There are always alternatives, not "there is no alternative". Married to a wonderful wife with with two adult sons, living in Calgary. I like getting out on my bike. I care about social justice. Unemployed or semi-retired? I would actually love to work (part time? consultation?) with purpose. Ph.D. in physics and nearly 28 year career in IT. "Debts that cannot be paid will not be paid." My new sourdough starter finally smells solidly good (my first time), so it is time to name it.
It struggled for the first week because I wasn't keeping it warm enough. Overnight we let the house cool down and I've been feeding it in the evening.
Second week I switched to storing it on a folded towel on the heated floor in our primary bathroom that is now set to a fixed 24 C. Tomorrow I try my first loaf.
