For the past few months I've been part of a yoga practice that incorporates sound healing - a therapeutic technique that uses Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes and other instruments. It's been really transformative.
I don't get too lost in the woo woo of it, but the practice helps me clear my mind away from the week's troubles every Friday and reset myself. It's one of my most important self-care rituals.

I've spoken to my therapist about the communal aspects of going to live music events - how much I love the sensation of losing myself in the beat, and vibing with the audience and the band.
She asked me about sound healing or sound therapy - singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks. I'd actually never heard of it. I found a yoga practice near me that does sound healing, and it's been transformative.
If you're open to alternate healing modalities, it's worth checking out.
