#fossil 📸 👉🏻 Inside the Natural History Museum in London, the skeleton of a Bradysaurus tells the story of how life first moved onto land. This early reptile represents a massive shift in history. To survive out of the water, it developed a strong skeleton to support its weight and waterproof skin to keep from drying out. It moved with a sprawling gait, using flexible wrist joints to navigate the terrain. Most importantly, it laid shelled eggs, allowing it to reproduce far away from the water. It is a humble-looking fossil, but it marks the very beginning of life on solid ground.
