Shahed launches from northeast — alerts in Chernihiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions
On the morning of May 7, 2026, Ukrainian military detected launches of Shahed kamikaze drones from Russian territory. The unmanned aerial vehicles were launched from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, and Oryol. The drones are heading toward Snovsk in the Chernihiv region and Dnipro in the Dnipropetrovsk region. An air alert has been declared in the affected areas due to the threat. Local authorities urge residents to remain in shelters until the all-clear signal is given.

Shahed drones attack Chernihiv and Rivne regions
On the night of April 30, 2026, Russian occupation forces continued to attack Ukrainian regions using Shahed-type attack drones. Four enemy drones were recorded in the Chernihiv region, heading towards the settlements of Korop and Ponornytsia, Snovsk and Horodnya, as well as Mena and Sosnytsia. One drone, flying from the Zhytomyr region, changed course northward into the Rivne region. Additionally, one Shahed drone was detected over the city and district of Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian air defense forces are operating in an enhanced mode to neutralize the threat.

On the night of April 16, Russian forces deployed Shahed-type attack drones against targets in several Ukrainian oblasts. The attacks were recorded in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions. Specifically, the drones targeted the city of Brovary in Kyiv Oblast and Smila in Cherkasy Oblast. In Chernihiv Oblast, the strike hit Borzna, while in Kharkiv Oblast, Bohodukhiv and Bibirky came under attack. The country's air defense systems were activated to counter the aerial threat.

Russian occupation forces launched a massive attack using Shahed-type kamikaze drones from the territory of Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Krasnodar Krai. According to monitoring data, the enemy targeted northern regions of Ukraine, including Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
