Iran attacked US commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz
Iranian armed forces launched a combined strike against two US-flagged commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. The attack involved missiles, drones, and fast attack boats. Geran-2 drone strike on Odesa port hits patrol and gunboats
On the evening of May 5, 2026, the port infrastructure of Odesa came under attack using Geran-2 unmanned aerial vehicles. According to preliminary information, the drones were equipped with electro-optical seekers, enabling them to precisely engage designated targets. The strike resulted in damage to an Island-class patrol boat moored at the pier. Additionally, a Project 58155 Gyurza-M-class gunboat was also hit.
