Il Tempo: Comunicato Stampa: I 60 ANNI DELL'ASI IN UN DOPPIO EVENTO A BARDOLINO E AL VITTORIALE DEGLI ITALIANI Il 16 maggio i festeggiamenti per il compleanno dell'ASI faranno tappa sul Lago di Garda: a Bardolino, dove tutto ebbe inizio con la firma costitutiva 60 anni fa, e a Gardone Riviera, dove al Vittoriale degli Italiani sarà celebrata l'automobile come musa ispiratrice di d'Annunzio e del Futurismo. La giornata si aprirà a Bardolino, sulla sponda veneta del Lago di Garda, con l'esecuzione in piazza Matteotti dell'Inno d'Italia a cura della Banda Filarmonica e con l'inaugurazione della mostra di modellismo presso Palazzo Gelmetti. A contorno di un'esposizione di sessanta veicoli storici si terrà un convegno sull'evoluzione dello stile automobilistico. Il momento clou sarà quindi l'inaugurazione della targa commemorativa per la nascita di ASI. Questo legame tra territorio e storia sottolinea come Bardolino non sia solo punto di partenza geografico, ma anche simbolico dell'intera celebrazione. Il cuore culturale dell'evento si sposterà nel pomeriggio al Vittoriale degli Italiani a Gardone Riviera, dimora di Gabriele d'Annunzio e luogo simbolo dell'estetica e della visione del Vate, oggi guidato da Giordano Bruno Guerri, che negli anni ne ha rafforzato il ruolo come centro culturale vivo e contemporaneo, rendendolo una delle case-museo più visitate al mondo. Qui, tra arte e memoria, dalle 15.30 si svilupperà una riflessione sul rapporto tra uomo, macchina e velocità, temi centrali nell'immaginario dannunziano. Il legame tra d'Annunzio e l'automobile è profondo e anticipatore: il poeta vedeva nel motore e nella velocità una nuova forma di espressione estetica, capace di incarnare modernità, potenza e spirito eroico. L'automobile, per lui, non era solo un mezzo di trasporto, ma simbolo di progresso e di tensione verso il futuro, in sintonia con le suggestioni del Futurismo. Inoltre, fu lo stesso Vate a cambiarne il genere da maschile a femminile. The cultural heart of the event will move in the afternoon to the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera, the home of Gabriele d’Annunzio and a symbol of aesthetics and the Vate’s vision, now led by Giordano Bruno Guerri, who has strengthened its role over the years as a living and contemporary cultural center, making it one of the most visited house-museums in the world. Here, between art and memory, from 3:30 pm onwards, a reflection on the relationship between man, machine and speed will develop, central themes in d’Annunzio’s imagination. The link between d’Annunzio and the automobile is deep and anticipatory: the poet saw in the engine and speed a new form of aesthetic expression, capable of embodying modernity, power, and heroic spirit. The automobile, for him, was not just a means of transport, but a symbol of progress and a tension towards the future, in harmony with the suggestions of Futurism.
