Okay, looks like I'me going to attempt a Japanese "Arashi" pattern, lol. The dye company claims you can do this with polyester, with their polyster-specific dye. https://www.ritdye.com/techniques/shibori/arashi/ #dyeing

Soaked the shirt overnight in Simple Green, and making polyester shirt stew with soda ash. It's whiter than it has been in years 🤔#dyeing #diy

After rinsing and then a hand wash in a mild detergent. Tbd how much of this will stick after an actual machine wash. This is the wet color, could be much lighter dry. #dyeing #diy
