The Westport Observatory, run by the volunteers of the Westport Astronomical Society brings the night sky down to the thousands who visit annually. We’re a non-profit that’s free and open to the public every Wednesday night from 8-10 pm if the skies are clear. We do suggest a donation of $5 per person if you're not a member. 🚀 Friday the 13th launch! A SpaceX Falcon 9 lifts off at 5:15 AM headed for the International Space Station. By ~5:25 AM it’ll be near New England, climbing to nearly 200 km in just 10 minutes.
Look up and southeast before sunrise. Clearer pockets possible in GA, PA, DE, NY, VA, Southern New England & ME. Inland = tougher.
