Should I have used mitered corners on these panels? Yes. Do I care? No Sure it would have reduced some bulk in the corners of the panels, but it sits well enough in the pants leg when it's sewn on that I don't care. This is a personal project to add some protective panels to my riding pants (front and back) to try and prevent tearing (in the pants or in my leg) if my foot slips on my mountain bike pedals (flat pedals with studs IYKYK).
